I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The owner/manager was extremely friendly and showed me to my room, explaining all the facilities available. They even provided me with a key to the front door and my room, so I had no time restrictions. The breakfast service was friendly and courteous, and the owner had great knowledge of the area, offering suggestions for sightseeing. The location was perfect, as it was within walking distance of the conference centre and the town centre. Additionally, there were plenty of attractive restaurants and bars nearby.
Nothing at all.

Best aspects of my new year stay included the delicious breakfast served with fresh coffee, and the friendly and helpful staff. the location was also very convenient, as it was close to the conference centre and town centre. these aspects provided a delightful experience.
Worst aspects of my new year stay included the outdated and cramped bathroom and noisy surroundings. the shower was also a bit temperamental with low pressure.

The location was perfect, not far from the city center but still peaceful and quiet. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, always going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was well-appointed with all the amenities I could ask for, including tea and coffee facilities, a comfortable sitting area, and a dressing area. I appreciated the modern conveniences like the flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi in the public areas. Plus, the staff made sure that any request I had was accommodated, which made my stay even more enjoyable.
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The location, service, and amenities make it a top choice for any traveler.

The breakfast is excellent - thick bacon, lovely eggs - and very filling.

The hotel was a pleasant Victorian style house, within easy walking distance of the train and bus stations.and with a good choice of eating places nearby for the evening meal The room ws comfortable, with all the amenities you would expect, and the breakfasts were excellant. Having access to the room at all times, except during the morning cleaning was good. The owner was helpful and friendly
The lack of ease with getting the luggage up and down stairs - no lift, and no-one on the staff to help.

The location, opposite the Conference Centre and close to the main shopping area was excellent. It was good value for money and the breakfast was good. It was very easy to find. The car parking was sufficient but could have been a problem had the hotel been fully booked.
The room was comfortable but the shower room was a bit cramped and unheated.

Great welcome, very good room with great bathroom and an excellent breakfast. Having stayed regularly in Harrogate for over 20 years this was my first stay at the Alvera Court. In my view it represented the best value for money in the town.

Hotel's location is very good, not even two minutes from the centre. Colin's attention, friendliness and dedication was second to none. We would definitely stay again.
